Our Practice is a training and teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified doctors and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our Practice for their training and become GPs after completing their training. At all times they are overseen by one of the GP partners.
When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would see one of our registrars.
We also have medical students attached to the practice. With the patient’s consent they may sit in with the GP and learn about general practice.
Claire is a GP Registrar working at the surgery from August 2017 to July 2018
Dr Ladak is a GP Registrar working with us from August 2017 to July 2018
The practice nurses are available by appointment for:
Asthma reviews, Cervical smears and family planning advice, vaccinations (e.g. holiday), dietary advice and weight checks, blood pressure checks, heart disease monitoring and smoking cessation advice.
The healthcare assistants do things such as take blood samples, blood pressure readings and perform Electrocardiograms (ECGs) as well as offering smoking cessation advice and NHS Health Checks.
The Practice Business Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the Practice, such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.
The Practice Business Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
The Data Quality team are responsible for making sure that all types of correspondence relating to your medical records is accurately recorded and securely managed.
This includes hospital discharges and letters from all external sources.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
The secretarial team deal with both private and NHS referrals and booking systems such as Choose & Book.
Antenatal clinics are provided every week. Please ask reception if you would like an appointment with the midwife.
