To Our Patients

This is a very difficult time for everyone in our community and we would strongly encourage you to follow – in detail – all of the recommendations around social distancing and to follow the advice available here -

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

The practice has made significant changes to the clinical services with changes away from face to face consultations to telephone and video consultations.

These have been made to safeguard you as our patients and the staff, so that we can remain open to provide healthcare to everyone throughout the foreseeable period.

The decisions taken have been based on the best available advice and follow detailed clinical discussion between all of the GP Partners who agree that these measures are necessary, calculated and proportional to the current National Health Crisis.

We take your health seriously and remain committed to providing the very best care available to all, with a specific focus on the vulnerable in these testing times.

Our staff continue to come to work to save lives

You can do the same, simply by staying at home.

The practice will not be supplying Sickness Notes related to COVID 19 during this period of pressure but you can download the Medical certificate for self-completion

The current Government Guidance for employers and businesses on coronavirus (COVID-19) states;

“By law, medical evidence is not required for the first 7 days of sickness. After 7 days, employers may use their discretion around the need for medical evidence if an employee is staying at home.

We strongly suggest that employers use their discretion around the need for medical evidence for a period of absence where an employee is advised to stay at home either as they are unwell themselves, or live with someone who is, in accordance with the public health advices issued by the government.”
