What To Do When We Are Closed

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

An out of hours service is available when the surgery is closed. Please telephone the surgery on 01924 552200 and you will be diverted to the out of hours provider or NHS 111.

NHS Walk-in Centres (WiCs) offer convenient access to a range of treatment. They are usually managed by a nurse and are available to everyone. Patients do not need an appointment.

These include:

    • Infections and rashes
    • Fractures and lacerations
    • Emergency contraception and advice
    • Stomach upsets
    • Cuts and bruises
    • Burns and strains

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
